Rakesh Roshan Confirms Budget and Timeline

In a new interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan confirmed that earlier delays came from financial concerns. “The script didn’t take a lot of time. The pressure was the budgeting. Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film,” he said. He also explained that pre-production will take longer due to the film’s scale. Shooting is set to begin by mid-2026, and the release is planned for 2027. According to him, “The work is going on in full swing. We have to be well prepared before we go on floors.”

The Legacy of the Krrish Franchise

The Krrish universe has remained one of India’s biggest superhero sagas. It began with Koi… Mil Gaya in 2003, where audiences met Rohit Mehra and the much-loved alien Jadoo. The story continued with Krrish in 2006, which gave Indian cinema its first mainstream superhero. Later in 2013, Krrish 3 became a box office juggernaut, collecting ₹374 crore worldwide. Fans have been waiting over a decade for the next chapter.

What to Expect from Krrish 4?

While plot details remain under wraps, industry speculation suggests Krrish 4 could revolve around time travel while reports also hint that Jadoo, the alien from Koi… Mil Gaya, may return, which would delight long-time fans. With Hrithik in the director’s chair and Rakesh overseeing production, the film promises to push the boundaries of Indian superhero storytelling.
