Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada, ‘Kap’s Café’, has faced its second attack in less than a month. Around 25 shots were fired at the outlet, raising fresh concerns over violence and alleged extortion threats in the area.
Gang Leader Allegedly Claims Responsibility
A Facebook post circulating online has allegedly linked the attack to Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the post, Dhillon claimed responsibility and issued a warning to the comedian.
The post read, “JAI SHRI RAM, Satshriakal ram sare bhaiyo ko aj jo y kapil sharma k kaps cafe..Surrey m firing hui iski jimevari, Goldy dhillon, Lawrence bishnoi gang lete h isko hamne call ki thi isko ring nhi Sunai di to karwai krni pdi ab b ring n sunegi to next karwai jaldi hi Mumbai krege”
(Translation: “We take responsibility for the firing in Surrey. We had called him, but he did not hear the ring, so we had to take action. If he still does not hear the ring, the next action will be in Mumbai.”)
Police have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the post.
Viral Video Shows Gunfire
A video allegedly showing the attack has gone viral on social media. In the footage, about 25 gunshots can be clearly heard, adding to the fear among locals.
Kapil Sharma’s Response Against Violence
Recently, Kapil Sharma had posted a video on Instagram featuring a visit from local officials, including Surrey’s Mayor Brenda Locke, to his café. He appeared with his wife Ginni Chatrath, enjoying a meal while expressing gratitude for the community’s support.
In the caption, he wrote, “Thank you Mayor Brenda Locke, @surreypoliceservice and all the officials who visited @thekapscafe_ to show their love and support. United we stand against violence. We’re truly grateful.”
