The makers of Kantara: Chapter 1, the prequel to Rishab Shetty’s hit film, have released the first look of actor Gulshan Devaiah as Kulashekara. The reveal came weeks after filming wrapped. In the picture shared by Hombale Films on August 19, Devaiah is seen in royal attire, sitting on a throne, wearing a crown and jewelry.
Fans are excited about his regal look and curious about his role in the story. He received social media appreciation from Bollywood celebrities Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Meiyang Chang, and Wamiqa Gabbi, which increased the buzz.

Devaiah’s character looks powerful and royal. The name Kulashekara suggests he might hold authority and have strong cultural ties in the story. Fans are eager to see how his character connects with Rishab Shetty’s character and the original film’s plot.

About the First Film
The original Kantara was set in a fictional village in Dakshina Kannada. It followed a Kambala champion who clashed with a Forest Range officer. Released in 2022, the film was a pan-India hit and won Shetty the National Award for Best Actor.
