After facing intense online criticism for his debut film Nadaaniyan, Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, has made a comeback. His second film, titled Sarzameen, premiered today on a digital streaming platform.

Action Thriller Directed by Boman Irani’s Son

Sarzameen is not just significant for Ibrahim. It also marks the directorial debut of Kayoze Irani, son of veteran actor Boman Irani. The film stars Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran in leading roles.

The trailer hints at a tense and emotional plot. Kajol plays a mother married to an army officer, portrayed by Prithviraj. Ibrahim, seemingly their son in the film, somehow ends up involved in terrorism, adding to the intrigue.

Early Reviews: A Mixed Bag

Initial reactions from viewers suggest that Sarzameen might be suitable for a single viewing. One social media user wrote, “Good one time OTT watch. The narrative could have been far more gripping if the execution matched the huge strength of the plot. #Kajol delivers a standout performance - will remind you of Gupt. Prithviraj is impressive too and IAK has improved. 2.8/5 #Sarzameen.”

Another viewer commented, “#Sarzameen is an above average film especially for the performances of @itsKajolD @PrithviOfficial and a sincere #IbrahimAliKhan. The familiar storyline and treatment and dejavu to Mission Kashmir cannot be ignored. A sincere attempt nevertheless. Watchable.”

Ibrahim Attends Premiere with Family and Friends

Ibrahim Ali Khan attended a special premiere event for the film last night. He was seen posing with his sister, Sara Ali Khan, and their close friend Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon. Fans also joined the gathering to support the young actor.

Verdict: Watchable, but Expectations Should Be Toned Down

While Sarzameen has drawn comparisons to classic thrillers like Mission Kashmir and Fanaa, critics believe its familiar storyline and average execution hold it back. However, strong performances by Kajol and Prithviraj make it worth a watch. Ibrahim’s effort is being acknowledged, though reviewers note he still has room to grow.
