Bollywood legend Dharmendra’s health has once again become a matter of concern for fans and the film industry. The 89-year-old actor, known for his immense contribution to Indian cinema, has reportedly been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for several days.

Sources close to the family revealed that Dharmendra’s condition deteriorated early Sunday morning, prompting doctors to move him to the ICU ventilator for better monitoring and support. His family members have been visiting the hospital since the morning.

Although hospital officials and the family have not released any official statement, sources confirmed that the veteran actor is “responding to treatment.”

Dharmendra’s Health Updates: Moved to ICU Ventilator

According to reports, Dharmendra was initially admitted to Breach Candy Hospital last week. He had been kept under observation in the ICU to prevent frequent visitors from disturbing his rest. However, his health reportedly worsened today, leading doctors to shift him to ventilator support.

Hospital authorities are monitoring his condition round-the-clock. Family members, including his children and close relatives, have been seen making multiple visits to the hospital.

Hema Malini’s Health Update Earlier

Earlier on November 3, Dharmendra’s wife and veteran actress Hema Malini had shared a brief update on his health. She was spotted at the airport when paparazzi asked her about Dharmendra’s condition. With folded hands, she replied, “Theek hain.” (He’s fine.)

This short but reassuring response had calmed fans for a while. However, the latest reports of him being moved to a ventilator have again sparked concern across the country.

Dharmendra’s Recent Medical History

This isn’t the first time the actor has faced health challenges in recent years. In April this year, Dharmendra underwent eye surgery due to blurred vision. Doctors performed a corneal transplant and also treated him for cataract issues.

A video from that time went viral, showing Dharmendra leaving the hospital and interacting with photographers. With his signature charm, he had told the paparazzi, “Mujhme bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon main.” (I’m still strong and full of life.)

Dharmendra’s Work Front

At 89, Dharmendra remains one of the most active senior actors in Bollywood. He was last seen in the romantic sci-fi film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.

Next, he will appear in ‘Ikkis’, directed by Sriram Raghavan, alongside Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson. The film is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.

Apart from that, Dharmendra will also be seen in ‘Apne 2’, reuniting with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, continuing the beloved Deol family saga.
