Among the sea of action releases, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are coming to theatres with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, a romantic comedy produced under the Dharma Productions banner. The movie is the story of two lovers, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, faking romance to win back their ex, who is getting married soon. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie features a great lineup of actors.

Check the cast members of Shashank Khaitan’s romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

Varun Dhawan as Sunny Sanskari

Varun Dhawan plays Sunny Sanskari in the title role, a sly fibber and self-styled “heartbreaker.” Sunny is the driving force of the entire humorous snarl, as his need for love propels him down a trail of complex deception. The Dulhania franchise director repeats his chemistry with Dhawan in rom-coms, making it seem easy to anchor the movie’s humour and emotion. He infuses the flawed, cunning lead character with an immediate likability.

Janhvi Kapoor as Tulsi Kumari

Pairing opposite Dhawan is Janhvi Kapoor as the intelligent and feisty Tulsi Kumari. Tulsi is Sunny’s unlikely accomplice, since they join forces with a shared objective: to win their respective exes back by pretending to be in a relationship. Kapoor, who has proven her mettle in movies such as Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Bawaal, brings vulnerability and fiery determination to the role, making her a perfect foil and match for Sunny’s escapades.

Sanya Malhotra as Ananya & Rohit Saraf as Vikram

The main complications come in the form of the ex-lovers, Ananya and Vikram, whose characters are played by Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, respectively. Malhotra, who has shown her subtlety in acting with films like Pagglait and Ludo, is likely to infuse depth in the character caught between the crossfire. Saraf, a popular face from films and web series such as The Sky Is Pink and Mismatched, plays Vikram, whose impending wedding is the target of Sunny and Tulsi’s playful sabotage. The dynamic of this quartet fuels the film’s romantic and dramatic engine.

Supporting Cast of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari

The film is further bolstered by a strong supporting cast, including comedic veterans and rising talents. Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi provide great flavour to the film, with their characters contributing to the mayhem and comedy. Maniesh Paul, who is very good with comic timing, plays the character of Kuku, bringing in a touch of lightness to the character. The supporting cast also includes names such as Abhinav Sharma in the role of Bantu, Manini Chadha, and Mallika Chhabra, all contributing to the film’s large, boisterous family landscape, providing for a full-throttle entertainment ride.

Shashank Khaitan’s Return

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a big reunion for director Shashank Khaitan with Varun Dhawan and, after Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor. With his reputation for blending small-town appeal with big Bollywood romance, Khaitan’s direction is expected to offer a tale based on relationships, humour, and heart, and assurances of a fast-moving, engaging ride ideal for a festive release. The movie is a fun-filled tribute to love, laughter, and a dash of revenge, and is an absolute must-watch family entertainer this Dussehra.
