Faissal Khan speaks out about severing ties with brother Aamir Khan amid longstanding family disputes (Social Media)
Former actor Faissal Khan has gone on record to announce the severance of all relationships with his brother Aamir Khan and the family, adding a new low to their protracted squabbles.
In this announcement, Faissal went on to express a grievance of alleged harassment over the years, which Aamir Khan and his family have brushed off in the past as falsehoods.
In an official statement made to Bollywood Bubble, Faissal declared that he would no longer be recognized as a member of the family of his late parents, Tahir Husain and Zeenat Tahir Husain. He stated that he renounces all rights to their estates in addition to relieving himself of any obligations thereto. Faissal also confirmed that he was never going to stay at Aamir Khan's house or accept any monthly allowance or maintenance from him.

Faissal explained that his decision was based upon the events of the year 2005. He claims that he was forcibly medicated, placed under home arrest that looked like house arrest, and coerced into relinquishing the signatory rights. Faissal also stated that in 2007, he was allegedly accused by his mother and sister of being paranoid-schizophrenic, a claim he says was slipped off the hook by law in 2008 when the court ruled in his favor.
Faissal also charged that his family thoroughly defamed him in media statements, hindering both his personal and professional life all the years through.
He mentioned that they would create repeated hurdles to his path while also misrepresenting true facts in public. He wished to maintain privacy while announcing that he would institute more legal proceedings with a writ petition next month.
The rift between Aamir and Faissal has been dragging ever since there have been disputes about the estate rights and so-called medical intervention.
Faissal had said that he was wrongfully labeled as a mentally ill person and kept under strict supervision in Mumbai for more than a year.
In turn, Aamir Khan and his family expressed distress at the remarks made by Faissal. They called the allegations hurtful and misleading and maintained that all decisions taken in the past were made as a family with professional guidance and purely out of concern for Faissal.
The family also requested the press to treat the matter sensitively, keeping in mind that some issues are strictly private.
