ZEE5 has released a teaser for their upcoming crime thriller, Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas. The teaser of this new film provides a glimpse to the audience about a story that combines a mystery of murders with emotional depth. Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar play the lead roles in the film.
The teaser of the new crime thriller was dropped just a couple of hours ago on JioStudios and Zee5's official social media handles. The teaser features a suspenseful build-up between Arshad Warsi's character and Jitendra Kumar, with a spine-tingling voiceover by Kumar. The one-minute teaser has Warsi acting as a police inspector who sets out to solve the mystery of a series of vanishings.

Based on real events, the movie is set against the haunting rural backdrop of Robertsganj in Uttar Pradesh. The story revolves around Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat, whose role is essayed by the seasoned Arshad Warsi. What starts as an otherwise run-of-the-mill case of a missing woman, Poonam, soon develops into a horrific web of lies, concealed secrets, and alleged human trafficking. Warsi, who is known to be versatile, looks the part of an experienced officer hell-bent on discovering the truth, with the promise of a strong and nuanced performance.
Assuming the negative role in the story is Jitendra Kumar, taking up a new genre of role as Sameer. Assisting him in playing the role of his love interest is Ayesha Kaduskar as Meera. Their affair presents a nice contrast to the sombre tone of the film, with Sameere dreaming of eloping to get married to Meera. Although their affair did not feature in the teaser, it would most probably present another fascinating twist to the life of Bhagwat.
Directed by Akshay Shere and produced by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and Dog 'n' Bone Pictures, 'Bhagwat' promises a riveting, emotionally complex story. The visuals suggest a high-octane drama that delves into the morally complex sides of human nature, where the boundaries between love, lies, and justice become increasingly blurred.
