Baaghi 4 vs 555: Baaghi 4 is almost here. A. Harsha’s directorial effort created a buzz after the trailer of the movie was out last week. Tiger Shroff reprises his hit character Ronnie in the movie and promises high-octane action and high-emotions. Incidentally, the film is reportedly drawing inspiration from Sasi’s 2013 Tamil thriller Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555), starring Bharath. Though both films have the same emotional crux, both treatment and manner are quite different. Let us contrast what we know of the two films.
Story Foundation
The core of both movies is the tale of a man tormented by the death of his beloved. In 555, the protagonist Aravind is left alive after a horrific accident. He is adamant that his girlfriend, Liyana, was with him at the time of the accident. However, amazingly, nobody else recollects her existence, and even government records imply that she did not exist. This fills his mind with doubt and drives the plot into a psychological thriller.
Baaghi 4 also appears to follow a similar pattern. Ronnie, whose character is essayed by Tiger Shroff, is depicted fighting the memory of his lost love, Alisha. She never existed, people tell him around him, leaving him confused between fantasy and reality. The confusion between love and memory would appear to be the emotional peg uniting both films.

Trailer Comparisons: Baaghi 4 and 555
A comparison of the trailers of both the films, and the huge difference in production quality emerges right on the first frame. There are no outright replicated shots in Baaghi 4 as against Sasi’s 555. A. Harsha adopts a hand-to-hand combat style, which is also Tiger’s forte since his film debut in Heropanti. This doesn’t, though, exempt the Tiger Shroff starrer from the Hollywood comparisons. The Baaghi franchise has been infamous for borrowing a little too much from the successful Silvester Stallone’s Rambo franchise.
Watch The Trailer:
Style and Treatment
It is here that 555 and Baaghi 4 differ. 555 is a psychological suspense drama. It meshes romance, mystery, and action in moderation, concentrating more on the state of mind of the hero rather than bloodshed. The power of 555 lies in the way it slowly builds up to reveal the truth, keeping the viewer guessing until the end.
Meanwhile, the Baaghi 4 trailer indicates clearly that action is at the forefront. With gruesome fight scenes, graphic images, and even revealing violence, the trailer has already obtained an Adults Only rating. The movie is marketed as a gritty and bloody action extravaganza, targeting fans of Tiger Shroff’s daredevil persona.

Emotional Core vs. Visual Impact
While 555 feeds on suspense and emotional depth, Baaghi 4 makes the same story a larger-than-life action entertainer. Tiger’s character is not just portrayed to suffer from heartbreak but also to fight foes in a hyper-violent fashion. Sanjay Dutt playing the villain adds to the dramatic quotient of the movie.
