Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological film Ramayana is currently in the post-production phase. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and South superstar Yash as Ravana. Since its announcement, the film has grabbed headlines as one of Bollywood’s most awaited projects.

Ashutosh Rana Responds to Fans Wanting Him as Ram

Recently, actor Ashutosh Rana spoke about his fans wanting him to play Lord Ram instead of Ranbir. In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, Rana responded to this wish with a spiritual and philosophical take. He believes that whatever is destined for a person will eventually reach them. He added that one should wait patiently and with focus, as life itself is like a play. In this grand play titled Ram Naam, he said he is portraying the character of Ravan.

He meant that the essence of Ram lies in selflessness. He said thinking too much about oneself goes against the values of Ram. So, if Ram kept thinking about himself, people wouldn’t call him ‘Ram’.

Ashutosh Rana as Ravan in Humare Ram

Currently, Ashutosh Rana is playing the role of Ravan in the stage play Humare Ram. This large-scale production is inspired by the Ramayana but presents it from a unique angle. It focuses on the perspectives of Luv and Kush, the sons of Ram and Sita.

What’s Next for Ashutosh Rana?

On the movie front, Rana will soon appear in the highly awaited action-thriller War 2. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Yash Raj Films, the movie is set to release in theatres on August 14.
