Anaya Bangar, daughter of former Indian cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar, is preparing for a new journey beyond the cricket field. She is set to join the contestant list for Bigg Boss 19, scheduled to begin on August 24.

Her Journey of Transformation

Anaya has openly spoken about her gender transformation surgery and the hurdles she faced while embracing her identity. Today, she is known not only as a transgender athlete but also as a graphic designer, actor, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Her courage and transparency have inspired many who followed her journey.

Is She Joining Bigg Boss 19?

A report by ETimes suggests that Anaya will be part of the new season’s lineup. However, the show’s producers have not made an official announcement yet.

If she enters the Bigg Boss house, Anaya may use the platform to highlight her personal struggles and her fight as a transgender athlete breaking barriers in sports.

Eligible for Women’s Cricket

Earlier, Anaya drew attention when she announced via social media that she had become eligible to play women’s cricket. She shared a scientific report that documented her transition, explaining how structured physiological tests conducted after hormone therapy proved her eligibility.

“For the first time, I’m sharing the scientific report that documents my journey as a trans woman athlete. Over the past year, I’ve undergone structured physiological assessments after starting hormone therapy. This report captures the real, measurable impact of my transition—not opinions, not assumptions, but data,” she explained in her video.

Appeal to Cricket Authorities

Anaya revealed that she had submitted the report to the BCCI and ICC, hoping for recognition and transparency in her case.

“My only intention is to start a conversation based on facts, not fear. To build space, not divide it. Whether you agree or not, thank you for witnessing,” she added.
