Bad Bunny hosted the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) season 51, marking his second time as the host and fourth in the show. His monologue addressed the recent backlash he has received over headlining the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show. The Latino music sensation directly addressed both his supporters and haters, ending his monologue by asking his critics to learn Spanish.

Bad Bunny to Haters: “You Have Four Months To Learn”

The NFL announced Bad Bunny as the headliner for the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show in September 2026. This move had Bunny’s supporters cheering the Latino music sensation. On the other side, this also prompted criticism from people on the right wing of American politics. The criticism from the people centred around the lack of English music in the rapper’s catalogue, and how it is inappropriate for him to headline America’s most-watched broadcast.

Bunny addressed all of these criticisms in his monologue, making fun of his haters.

“You might not know this, but I’m doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show. And I’m very happy, and I think everybody’s happy about it … Even Fox News!” he said in the opening lines of the monologue. This statement was followed by a montage of edited clips, showing Fox News anchors praising the rapper, contrary to their actual beliefs.

He continued to take several jabs at his haters throughout his monologue, before taking a moment to address his people in Spanish.

“Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors. It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it,” Bad Bunny said in Spanish.

Following this, he delivered the final blow by telling his haters, “You Have Four Months To Learn Spanish.

“And, if you didn’t understand know what I just said, you have four months to learn!,” Bad Bunny said in his closing lines.
