GIA India has introduced a groundbreaking merchandising course for jewelry retailers, “Jewellery Merchandising for Retailers,” designed to transform the jewelry retail landscape in India. This innovative course provides participants with crucial insights into effective jewelry merchandising strategies, blending art and science to elevate sales success and customer engagement.

The course aims to equip jewelry professionals with essential merchandising concepts, enabling them to develop strategies that align with their business objectives. This comprehensive program is ideal for jewelry business owners, merchandisers, retail sales staff, and store managers. It will be conducted via remote learning four days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., complemented by a practical hands-on session at GIA India’s Mumbai campus, scheduled for one day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The inaugural batch will commence on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Participants will delve into the intricacies of understanding Indian jewelry target audiences, gaining the tools to recognize and evaluate consumer trends, preferences, and purchasing behaviors. This knowledge empowers jewelers to tailor their merchandising tactics to effectively target and engage their intended consumer segments, thereby enhancing both sales and the overall customer experience. The course emphasizes a robust learning experience, with continued engagement in case studies and group discussions even after its completion.

Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director – Education and Market Development at GIA India, emphasized the course’s relevance in today’s competitive market, stating, “For jewelry retailers to succeed, mastering the art of merchandising is essential. This course’s blended learning approach allows participants to balance their professional commitments while gaining invaluable skills.”
