Since the morning due to falling debris, the Gangotri National Highway, 500 metres ahead of Bhatwadi, has been closed to traffic. According to the district administration of Uttarkashi, this has disrupted the Gangotri Dham Yatra and left the pilgrims trapped on the path.
The District Administration of Uttarkashi is working to remove the debris and quickly resume travel on the route.
According to officials, the Badrinath National Highway’s route near Nandaprayag and Chhinka, which was earlier today obstructed by debris, is now open.
