On January 22, 2024, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya Dham is scheduled to take place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officiate the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in accordance with established rituals.
The towering 50-meter or 160-foot-high sanctuary dedicated to Lord Ram Lalla has been constructed on the site where the Babri Masjid stood for centuries before being demolished in 1992 by karsevaks led by the then Bharatiya Janata Party president, Lal Krishna Advani.
Approximately 7,000 guests, including politicians, industrialists, celebrities, and sports personalities, are anticipated to participate in the pran-pratishtha ceremony, set to commence around 12:20 pm.
The schedule for the events on January 22 is as follows:
- At 10:25 am, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Ayodhya, proceeding to the venue via helicopter from the Ayodhya airport.
- At 10:55 am, Modi is expected to reach the premises of the Ram temple.
- Between 11 am and 12 pm, the prime minister may embark on a tour of the Ram Mandir premises.
- From 12:05 pm to 1 pm, the pran-pratishtha or consecration ceremony will commence, with Modi overseeing the rituals.
- Around 1 pm, Modi will leave the temple premises to address a public gathering of approximately 7,000 individuals.
- At 2:10 pm, Modi is scheduled to visit Kuber ka Tila, where the ancient temple of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.
