Local reporters from Leh said that 150-200 people are under quarantine as their tests are awaited. They said that the fresh wave of the infection has added to the panic in many villages in and around Leh.

Reports said that many patients on Wednesday have been kept in the isolation wards of two Leh hospitals, including Sonam Nurbu Hospital and Mahabodhi Karuna Charitable Hospital.

According to the official figures, already Covid positive cases have gone up to 7,500 on Wednesday in Leh, Ladakh, while many reports are awaited about the patients who are being monitored in the isolation wards.

Meanwhile, in Kargil district, according to the official figures, 35 to 40 fresh cases have been reported.
