Former President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday released a book titled ‘Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer’s Ideas, Performer’s Implementation.’
The book, compiled by Bluekraft Digital Foundation, explores Dr. BR Ambedkar’s life and works while drawing parallels with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives and reforms to put the social reformer’s ideals into action.
Ilaiyaraaja, a music composer and Rajya Sabha member, wrote the foreword.
“This book offers insight into the life, work, and achievements of BR Ambedkar from a scholarly perspective, and also presents a convergence between his ideals and “new India’s development journey”, an official said.
The book not only presents Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of India, but also takes into account the numerous achievements of PM Modi and his government, with 12 chapters focusing on various domains such as infrastructure, education, socioeconomic mobility, gender equality, self-reliance, and many more.
It describes the PM Modi-led government’s accomplishments in bringing formal banking services to remote areas, expanding health insurance, and shifting from the concept of women empowerment to women-led empowerment.
‘Ambedkar and Modi,’ by examining how the vision of personalities such as Dr Ambedkar is finally coming to fruition under the leadership of PM Modi, serves as an important addition to the ongoing research on Ambedkar’s thoughts and work, and will make an important contribution to the country’s policy landscape.
