Fulfilling the dream of Antyodaya, the Vikas Bharat Jan Sankalp Yatra Jansamvad reached Government School, Subhash Nagar Surajpur on Tuesday, where a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the people. Former Kalka MLA and Rashtriya Mahila Morcha treasurer Latika Sharma participated in the program as the chief guest.
She inspected the stalls set up by various departments and gathered information about the schemes related to those departments. Additionally, she interacted with the beneficiaries and sought feedback.
Latika Sharma mentioned that another initiative has been taken in the direction of keeping everyone healthy in the form of the ‘Nirogi Haryana Scheme.’ The objective of this scheme is to conduct a complete health checkup for the entire population of the state at least once every two years. The work of providing pension at home has been facilitated by linking the social security pension schemes to the family identity card. Social security pension has also been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2750 monthly, with a further increase to Rs 3000 monthly starting from January 2024.
During the event, she distributed certificates to the beneficiaries of Old Age Samman Allowance, Ayushman Bharat, and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. In addition, she administered the oath of a developed India to those present. Municipal Council Chairman Krishna Lal Lamba, Councilor Manindra Kaur, and other dignitaries were also present at the occasion.
