Are you often left with last night’s chapatis and it doesn’t feel alright to throw them in the bin? If you are a person who can’t waste food, then we have a solution for your leftover rotis. A simple, quick, tasty, and easy-to-make breakfast option that you can enjoy guilt-free. 

Let’s take a look at how to make ‘Roti Tacos’ from overnight chapatis.

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 leftover rotis/chapatis
  • 1 cup cooked filling (chicken, paneer, rajma, or chole)
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise, hung curd, or sour cream
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Oil or butter

Method:

Step 1: Heat the rotis in a pan with butter or oil of your choice until they are crisp but still flexible. 

Step 2: Add your choice of filling with your onions, tomatoes, chilli flakes, and chat masala and mix well.

Step 3: Fold the rotis in the shape of a taco and spread mayonnaise. 

Step 4: Add the filling inside the taco.

Step 5: Add coriander, lettuce, or cabbage as toppings.

Step 6: Serve with warm chutney, salsa, or sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
