Dense fog in Rajasthan has led to a series of road accidents resulting in casualties. From Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, several collisions occurred, claiming three lives and leaving six others injured. The first accident transpired in Bharatpur, involving a collision between a bus and an auto, leading to the demise of three individuals, including a woman. In Hanumangarh, another collision between a bus and a jeep resulted in the death of one person. Additionally, in Sikar, six individuals sustained injuries in a collision between two cars and a bus on NH-52.
The initial incident occurred in Bharatpur, where a bus from Bharatpur Depot collided with an auto due to dense fog.
Tragically, a woman identified as Ram Murti and Maharaj Singh lost their lives, while another passenger, Karan, sustained serious injuries. Following the collision, both drivers fled the scene. The Sevar police station, upon receiving the information, promptly reached the accident site. The injured were rushed to RBM Hospital, where Ram Murti and Maharaj Singh succumbed to their injuries, and Karn remains in critical condition.
This occurrence adds to a string of accidents caused by dense fog in the region. On Monday morning in Barmer, another collision claimed three lives and left one person injured. Two vehicles collided near Dhori Manna Toll Plaza on NH-68.
The collision involved a car carrying four friends from Gujarat who were returning from a visit to the Tanot Mata Temple in Jaisalmer. The deceased have been identified as Vishnu, Jitin, and Jignesh Kumar, all residents of Ahmedabad.
The injured individual was rushed to Dhori Manna Hospital, where three of them were declared dead.
