People in Balochistan’s Chaghi district are compelled to endure life outdoors as their homes have been swept away by floods throughout Pakistan, according to Pakistan Today.

The recent downpours in Balochistan have brought about hardship and destruction in the Chaghi district of Balochistan.

Additionally, the farmlands have been submerged, resulting in the destruction of crops. As reported by Pakistan Today, families dependent on agriculture for sustenance and livelihood are enduring challenging circumstances.

Furthermore, the crop losses could potentially result in food shortages in the days ahead. The community is deeply worried about the ramifications of the rainfall on agriculture, given that the residents of Chaghi primarily depend on farming for their livelihoods.

As the water levels subside, individuals are tasked with rebuilding their lives from the ground up, as per Pakistan Today. Additionally, they are seeking assistance from all relevant parties during these challenging circumstances.

According to ARY News, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in Balochistan disclosed earlier this week that 16 individuals lost their lives in the recent heavy rains in the province.

The PDMA reported that the casualties occurred since April 12, with heavy rainfall causing damage to infrastructure. It was mentioned that the rain caused devastation in 11 districts of the province. As per the report, 220 houses were damaged, with 60 completely destroyed and 160 partially affected.

ARY News reported that according to the PDMA, relief efforts were underway in the affected areas of Chaman.
