On the occasion of World Photography Day on 19 August, here’s a list top five photographers in the world who have capture the world in their lens and make it look extra-ordinary.

JIMMY NELSON

Jimmy Nelson is a famous photographer from the UK and has been taking amazing photographs since 1987. Jimmy is popularly known for working on a series titled ‘Before They Pass Away’ through which he travelled extensively to places like Vietnam, Tibet, Africa, and so on. Having clicked pictures of tribal and indigenous people in more than 16 countries, Jimmy has won many international awards and has been exhibited in many international museums and art galleries.

REHAHN

Rehahn, who is quite popular for his photographs of India (Rajasthan), Vietnam, and Cuba, is a French photographer currently settled in Vietnam. In 2014, Rehahn published his first book- Vietnam, Mosaic of Contrasts, which focuses on the large diversity of cultures. The book consists of more than 150 photographs. His biography reads, “By capturing images of these exceptionally contrasting cultures, and collecting their traditional costumes and precious artefacts, he has built up the Precious Heritage Collection, which is now the core of the eponymous Gallery Museum.”

JOE MCNALLY

Joe MacNally is an American photographer who has won international recognition. McNally is one of the top photographers of his generation. McNally is famous for his Faces of Ground Zero series. It is a collection of 246 giant Polaroid portraits, which is shot in the Moby C Studio near Ground Zero.

Erik Almas, a well-known photographer from Norway, was given a camera at the age of 12. Since then, he has explored and captured many places in his camera. Almas pursued his education at the Academy of Art University and was mentored by the best of tutors. Almas has received numerous awards for his photos, which have been featured in some of the top fashion magazines.

Mario Testino is one of most sought-after fashion photographers. His work has been featured in top magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair. In today’s time, Testino is considered as one of the highly acclaimed photographers, who had also shot Madonna for Versace, the late Diana, Princess of Wales for Vanity Fair.
