On Friday, the first batch of pilgrims for Budha Amarnath temple in Poonch started its spiritual journey from Jammu.
The spiritual Budha Amarnath Yatra will go on for the next 11 days.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Mukesh Singh, said that all security arrangements have been done for the Yatra and he also wished pilgrims on their journey.
ADGP Singh stated, “All security arrangements have been done for the Budha Amarnath Yatra which started today. The Yatra will continue for the next 11 days. Best wishes to all the yatris for their journey.”
In the meantime, as 31 August comes closer, the administrative unit in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district is systematically preparing the work for the approaching ‘Chota Amarnath Yatra.’
Maha Daneshwar temple, fondly referred to as ‘Chhota Amarnath,’ is hugged by the captivating stretch of Arin Valley’s dense woodlands. In this temple, there is an ice lingam which is an organic formation that receives the delicate embracement of falling water droplets.
The Yatra follows a 15-kilometre trajectory along with the Arin-Dardpora belt. The local population has given a devoted voice to this spiritual trip, joining their support together with a passionate call for an improved infrastructure along the pilgrimage route.
