In the early hours of Sunday morning, around 5 am, gunshots were reportedly fired outside the residence of the Bollywood actor Salman Khan. As per the police, two unnamed individuals on a motorcycle fired 5 shots in the air outside the Galaxy apartments in Bandra before running away from the scene.

Further revealed by the police, one bullet had also targeted the first floor of the residence where the Bollywood actor along with his family reportedly lives.
In the aftermath of the scene, the security of the actor’s apartment was enhanced followed by the collection of CCTV footage by the police for the identification. Followed by the visit of crime branch personnels and forensic experts for the collection of evidence. Resulting in the start of the probe.
This incident comes around the time,when just the previous year, the National Investigation Agency revealed that the actor comes under the list of 10 main targets of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who the latter wants to kill. For the 1998 black buck hunting incident, which as per the gangster, has gravely hurt the sentiments of the Bishnoi community. Thus marking him target.
He further revealed that his right-hand man Sampat Nehra has put the khan’s residence under surveillance, making the target ripe for attack. However, a special task force of Haryana arrested Nehra.
Thus resulting in the enhancement of Salman Khan’s security (Y+). After another threat call.
For further safety measures so far, the actor was also issued a gun license and had also acquired a bullet-proof SUV.
