THANE: A 30-year-old firefighter sustained burn injuries while battling a fire that erupted at a tea shop in Thane district, Maharashtra. The incident occurred at 2:50 am in Khardi village, Diva area, when two cooking gas cylinders exploded, engulfing the shop in flames, according to Yasin Tadvi, the head of Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell. Responding promptly, the Diva civic fire station personnel rushed to the scene. In the course of extinguishing the fire, firefighter Pratik Bambarde suffered burns on his hands. He received immediate first aid at a nearby medical facility and is now in stable condition.
