A fire erupted at Mystery Rooms situated in M Block of Delhi’s Connaught Place. Firefighters are currently rescuing one individual who was trapped inside the shop.
During the summer months, many fire accidents, often caused by short circuits, are frequently reported. Unfortunately, in the past month, numerous incidents have resulted in loss of life. In the latest development, a significant fire erupted at a food processing factory in the Narela Industrial Area of North Delhi. The fire began this morning, June 8, while nine individuals were present in the factory.
Six of them sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment, while three fatalities have been reported. The fire is suspected to have been triggered by a gas leak.
Three people were killed and six injured after a fire broke out in a food processing factory in North Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Saturday early morning, said Delhi Police. The deceased were identified as Shyam, 24, Ram Singh, 30, and Beerpa, 42. The injured were identified as Pushpender, 26, Akash, 19, Mohit Kumar, 21, Ravi Kumar, 19, Monu, 25, and Lalu, 32.
According to the police, they received a PCR call about the incident at approximately 3:35 AM. Upon receiving the information, police personnel promptly arrived at Shayam Kripa Foods PVT LTD, where the fire had broken out. At the time of the incident, nine individuals were present inside the factory. They were swiftly taken to SHRC Hospital in Narela. The police stated that among the injured, three individuals were pronounced dead at the hospital.
As per the police, initial inquiries indicated that a gas leak occurred on one of the gas pipelines while raw moong was being roasted on gas burners. This leakage ignited the fire, which subsequently caused the compressor to overheat, resulting in an explosion. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and have commenced their investigation.
