On Sunday night, a fire broke out inside the Advanced Eye Centre of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, prompting the fire department to rush to the scene. The fire appears to have been started by a short circuit. So yet, no casualties or property damage have been reported. Notably, this is the second fire in a week at the Chandigarh Medical College. In the early hours of Tuesday, October 10, a fire broke out on the first floor of PGI’s Nehru Hospital in Chandigarh. The fire was put out, and all of the patients were safe.
