In a remarkable box office performance, the action-packed film “Fighter,” starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, has garnered widespread praise and substantial earnings. According to a Sacnilk report, the movie, inspired by India’s airstrike following the Pulwama terrorist attack, raked in an impressive 28 crore on day 3, bringing its total collection to 90 crore.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film showcases Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Patty) and Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Mini). The star-studded cast also includes Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, taking to X (formerly Twitter), highlighted the film’s extraordinary performance on day 2. He attributed the success to excellent audience feedback and the Republic Day holiday, especially noting significant growth in mass pockets, which had underperformed on the first day.
Adarsh expressed optimism about the film’s future prospects, stating that if Saturday and Sunday maintain the current momentum, “Fighter” could achieve a massive total at the box office.
He acknowledged the challenge of estimating the 4-day extended weekend figure due to potential contributions from the mass belt and spot bookings on Saturday and Sunday.
As of now, “Fighter” has grossed 65.80 crore in India, with its Thursday and Friday collections standing at 24.60 crore and 41.20 crore, respectively. Bollywood enthusiasts eagerly await the film’s continued success in the coming days.
