The state of Rajasthan continues to bear the brunt of severe cold weather as northern winds intensify the chill, impacting daily life in various districts. On Sunday, Fatehpur experienced the lowest temperature at 1 degree Celsius, leading to light frost on trees, pipes, and vehicle roofs. People were observed layering up to shield themselves from the intense cold.
Meanwhile, Shriganganagar, Churu, Hanumangarh, and surrounding cities in Shekhawati witnessed dense fog, causing significant difficulties for motorists.
The nighttime temperatures in 11 cities of the state dropped below five degrees due to the cold winds. Additionally, the daytime temperature remained below 10 degrees in 24 cities on Sunday. However, residents of Mount Abu received some relief after three days, with a recorded increase of 5 degrees in temperature.
Despite this, the weather department has issued an alert for dense fog accompanied by a cold wave for the next two to three days.
Jaipur witnessed fluctuating day and night temperatures, the maximum temperature reached 23.4 degrees, while the nighttime temperature was 7.3 degrees, experiencing light fog in the morning and bright sunshine throughout the day.
There was an increase of approximately 2 degrees in both day and night temperatures in Jaipur.
