Farmers can apply till February 12 to reap benefits of PM Kisan Yojana

The State Nodal Officer and Registrar Cooperation Archana Singh, while speaking about the PM Kisan Yojana on Wednesday, said that the land details verification of the farmers applying under the scheme, seeding of bank accounts, and organising PM Kisan Segregation Camps at the gram panchayat level for eligible deprived farmers’ applications are being conducted from February 12. These camps will be held until February 21.

Archana Singh addressed District Nodal Officers and Subdivisional Officers through video conferencing at the Cooperative Building on Wednesday. She said that the PM Kisan Yojana is an important scheme related to the welfare of the people by the Government of India.

She said that guide those farmers at the gram panchayat level whose applications have been rejected. It should be ensured that work is completed promptly so that more and more farmers can be connected to the scheme. She said that the land details of 67.59 lakh farmers have been uploaded on the portal.

During verification, if any farmer is found ineligible or deceased, it should be marked on the portal. The land details of 63.70 lakh farmers have been verified and bank accounts linked to Aadhaar.

The remaining farmers should have their bank accounts linked to Aadhaar through these camps.

The Registrar said that land details verification, linking of bank accounts to Aadhaar, and e-KYC have been completed by 56.40 lakh farmers. E-KYC should be done for the remaining farmers. Farmers who have not yet done e-KYC can also do it themselves on the PM Kisan portal or through the mobile app using the biometric or facial recognition system.
