As a part of the mass, layoffs to cut expenses and transform its business model Facebook parent Meta will slash 11,000 jobs.
Earlier on Wednesday Meta announced the slashing of jobs as many tech industries have already slashed jobs.
“We are also taking a number of additional steps to become a leaner and more efficient company by cutting discretionary spending and extending our hiring freeze through Q1, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg issued a statement on Wednesday.
Meta CEO said, in Meta’s history this layoff is the most difficult change and further said soon everyone will get the email in the company, “letting you know what this layoff means for you.”
Meanwhile, this layoff will affect thousands of employees and as soon as possible the announcement will be made.
Moreover, at the end of September, more than 87,000 employees work in the Meta.
However, in the history of 18 years, this is the planned layoffs which will be the first broad head-count reductions.
