Bomb threats disrupted voting in key battleground states during the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, affecting Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Although these threats were ultimately deemed hoaxes, they forced evacuations and delayed voting at some polling sites.
In metro Atlanta, bomb threats targeted polling locations in three heavily Democratic counties, while similar threats impacted voting sites in Pennsylvania and three locations in Navajo County, Arizona. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed multiple threats but assured the public that all votes would be counted accurately and that the people’s will would be upheld in Pennsylvania.
