Trump warns of ‘bloodbath’ if he is not re-elected President

Former US President Donald Trump warned of potential chaos in the country if he is not re-elected in the upcoming polls, according to Politico. Speaking at a rally near Ohio’s Dayton, Trump stated, “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath. That’s going to be the least of it,” adding, “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”

While Trump’s exact meaning was not entirely clear, as he was discussing the automobile industry, he indicated that if re-elected, China would not be able to sell any vehicles imported to the US, Politico reported.

Trump often portrays a bleak picture of the nation to criticize President Joe Biden ahead of the upcoming presidential elections, likely to be held in November. He frequently uses strong language when discussing the charges he faces and his efforts to contest the 2020 presidential election results leading up to the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol.

During his campaign events, Trump frequently revisits the events of January 6 and denounces the 2020 elections he lost. At the rally on Saturday, he played a recording of January 6 prisoners singing the national anthem, according to Politico.

Trump also announced at the rally that he would issue pardons for Trump-supporting ‘hostages’ on the first day of his presidency, referring to those imprisoned in connection with the January 6 Capitol riots as hostages. He stated, “You see the spirit from the hostages. And that’s what they are — hostages.”

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden continues to mention the events of January 6 in his speeches, emphasizing the importance of the November election’s outcome for democracy. The attack remains a political threat for Republicans and Trump’s campaign.

Former US Vice President Mike Pence announced that he would not endorse Trump in 2024, citing differences between Trump’s current agenda and the conservative principles they upheld during their time in office. Pence made this statement during an appearance on Fox News, marking a significant break from his previous alignment with Trump.

According to CNN, both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump secured the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations, respectively, setting the stage for a rematch in the upcoming election. Trump secured the Republican nomination for President, while Biden secured the Democratic nomination.
