Moscow [Russia]: European countries are expanding their media collaboration with BRICS+ nations through the TV BRICS International Media Network. Sweden’s NewsVoice is the latest platform to join this initiative, promoting global media exchange.

The agreement was signed between Torbjorn Sassersson, CEO & Editor-in-Chief of NewsVoice, and Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS. According to TV BRICS, the collaboration will focus on:

  • Content exchange for better access to BRICS+ news
  • Joint media production to enhance international storytelling
  • Media training programs for journalists and professionals

Expanding Global Media Reach

With this partnership, Sweden will gain direct access to news from BRICS+ nations, helping its media engage with global issues and diverse perspectives.

NewsVoice, founded in 2011 in Stockholm, covers topics like public affairs, healthcare, science, technology, and culture. The outlet promotes a multicultural approach and investigative journalism.

“This media cooperation will help Sweden better understand the importance of BRICS and its role in ensuring economic and geopolitical stability,” said Torbjorn Sassersson.

TV BRICS’ Growing Global Network

Sweden is now the 26th country to participate in TV BRICS’ regular content exchange. The network’s media reach extends to over 80 countries, including:

  • Argentina, Armenia, Venezuela, Vietnam
  • Zimbabwe, Kenya, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan
  • Mozambique, Serbia, Tunisia, Chile

TV BRICS also collaborates with around 500 experts on global cooperation. Contributors include Helga Zepp-LaRouche from Germany’s Schiller Institute and Richard Sakwa, a Professor at the University of Kent, UK.

Janna Tolstikova emphasized that TV BRICS is open to global media partnerships beyond BRICS member states, fostering a truly multipolar media landscape.
