Iran’s President Warns Israel that Next Retaliatory Attack Won’t Be Limited

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi issued a warning on Wednesday, stating that any Israeli aggression on Iranian soil would be met with a powerful response. Speaking at a parade marking National Army Day, Raisi referred to Iran’s retaliatory operation against Israel, named ‘Operation True Promise’, as a limited and punitive measure. He emphasized the military’s dedication to defending Iran’s territory and values, highlighting the strength of the army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and armed forces.

Raisi also cautioned against any mistakes by Israel and its allies, promising a real and significant retaliation from Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his cabinet following Iran’s missile and drone attack, while Western countries urged restraint to prevent escalation.

The United States announced plans to impose new sanctions targeting Iran’s missile and drone programs and entities supporting the IRGC and Iran’s Defense Ministry. The Iranian attack, launched in retaliation for an alleged Israeli airstrike, saw most projectiles intercepted by Israeli air defenses, with support from the United States, Jordan, and Britain.
