A 22-year-old shared a post about running into Tim Cook while on a hike. In the X share, the student claimed that he encountered the Apple CEO at Stanford and asked him about the recent backlash over the company’s iPad campaign. He added that the tech leader described the “destructive” ad as a “major fumble.”

“Met the one and only Tim Cook on a dish hike run at Stanford. Asked him about the new Apple iPad campaign and here’s what he said,” X user Shaurya Sinha, a Stanford University student, wrote. In the following posts, he claimed that the Apple CEO said “Yeah twas a major fumble”. He also mentioned that Cook was “super sweet”.

Recently, Apple released an advertisement for its new iPad series. The controversy emerged when the ad showed a hydraulic press destroying creative instruments and devices, which many viewed as insensitive and disrespectful. This led to widespread criticism, with accusations of Apple being “tone deaf.” In response, the company quickly pulled the ad and issued an apology.
