Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina scheduled to Visit India After Lok Sabha Polls

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit New Delhi after the Indian general elections conclude later this year.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud confirmed to the media that the “prime minister will visit India after the elections. The official schedule is yet to be fixed”.

The announcement arises amid recent speculation fueled by various media reports indicating that Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India is planned for June.

If materialized, this visit would signify her initial official journey to India subsequent to her triumph in the national elections on Jan 7.

The visit carries substantial diplomatic significance, emphasizing the ongoing enhancement of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India.
