Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Member of Parliament, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, has lauded the transformative policies of Prime Minister. Narendra Modi, crediting them with ushering in significant changes in Jammu and Kashmir. As the region prepares for the upcoming assembly polls, Er. Khatana emphasized the urgent need to challenge entrenched dynastic politics, which he believes obstruct the participation of ordinary citizens in the nation’s development.

Speaking on the political landscape in Jammu & Kashmir, Er. Khatana highlighted the decision of Jamat-e-Islami to contest the assembly elections as a direct challenge to dynastic politics. “Jamat-e-Islami is contesting the assembly polls because they have seen a ray of hope under Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s leadership in the country,” he remarked. Er. Khatana praised the Prime Minister for creating an inclusive environment that offers opportunities to all citizens to contribute to nation-building. “Those who believe in Indian democracy and the policies of Shri Narendra Modi will not be disappointed,” he added, expressing confidence in the Prime Minister’s vision for the country.

Er. Khatana also addressed recent political developments in Jammu & Kashmir, specifically criticizing the alliance between former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He characterized their coalition as an attempt to undermine the progress and stability that have been achieved in the region. “Yesterday, Mehbooba Mufti offered an alliance to the National Conference and Congress, and today Omar Abdullah accepted it. This alliance is nothing but a conspiracy to destabilize the peace and progress of Jammu & Kashmir,” he asserted.

Er. Khatana expressed deep concern over the potential repercussions of this political maneuver, warning that it could disrupt the fragile peace in the region. “This alliance threatens to unravel the normalcy, peace, and progress that Narendra Modi has achieved in Kashmir,” he stated, highlighting the risks associated with this coalition.

Reflecting on recent interactions between political figures, Er. Khatana mentioned a meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Omar Abdullah in Kashmir, using it to underscore his criticism of traditional political elites. He suggested that such meetings signal a disregard for the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. “I feel proud to be a soldier of BJP, a party that ends the fear of being killed in Kashmir. Now, you can have dining anywhere in Kashmir because Kashmiris want peace and progress,” he said, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to enhancing the region’s security and stability.

Er. Khatana further criticized the erstwhile political leadership, accusing them of exploiting the people of Kashmir for personal gain. “The dynasts have sacrificed the people in Kashmir for the sake of their chairs,” he lamented, contrasting this with the BJP’s approach, which he described as transformative and people-centric.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, Er. Khatana pointed to the significant strides made in Kashmir under his leadership. “Modi Ji has changed the definition of governance. There is no civilian killings and strike calendar in Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji provides opportunities for Kashmiri youth to decide their own future,” he noted. Er. Khatana credited Prime Minister Modi’s policies with fostering an environment conducive to growth and development, allowing the youth to actively participate in shaping their destinies.

In stark contrast, Er. Khatana accused Abdullah, Gandhi, and Mufti of manipulative tactics. “Unfortunately, for decades, Gandhi, Abdullah, and Mufti used the Kashmiri people as human shields to save their chairs,” he charged, suggesting that their actions have been detrimental to the region’s well-being.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP continues to position itself as a champion of change, advocating for policies that prioritize development, security, and the empowerment of all citizens, including those in Jammu and Kashmir.
