Moonrise Festival India celebrates ‘Valentine’s Week’, Hip-Hop style

The biggest ‘Valentine’s Week’ event, Moonrise Festival India took place from 10-11 February, 2024. The ‘concert’ event was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi and featured many renowned artists from the music industry including Seedhe Maut, Kr$na, Akhil Sachdeva, DG Immortals, Adnan Sami, DJ Yogii, TwinStrings, Pallavi Seth, DJ Cheshta, Sid K, DJ Kashish and DJ Ravator.

Apart from setting the vibe of the ‘Valentine’s Week’ with power-packed performances of exceptional music artists, Moonrise Festival India also provided a platform for many small businesses. A wide variety of food, beverage and accessory brands were spotted at the event along with the fun activities and games. The festival wasn’t only an enthralling experience but also a culinary delight.

From millennials to GenZ, the festival turned out to be a hit for all age groups. The event  witnessed many DHH artists who are credited to have uplifted the Hip-Hop culture in India in the last few years and who have left a mark on a global platform.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Guardian, when asked about his superhit song ‘Kaleshi Chori’, DG Immortals expressed his gratitude and said, “I feel blessed with the success of the song. It became the first Haryanvi song to be featured on Times Square in New York.” He added, “India is progressing and the future looks very prominent for the upcoming rappers. The music industry is booming with hip-hop and will continue to do so. So, keep working hard my fellow rappers. Success will be at your feet,” talking about the future of rap songs in India.

What could be better than having a fun evening with your loved ones and dancing onto your favorite soundtracks. The two-day event was a jam-packed show that took over Delhi and put the ‘Valentine’s Week’ into an energetic and heart-throbbing state. The romantic melodies and captivating beats of the cult hip-hop captured the contrasting emotions of the youth during this time of the year.
