Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston had an unusual filming experience for her acclaimed series The Morning Show in Manhattan on Sunday, as reported by the New York Post. Aniston, 55, was seen covered in a sticky, tar-like substance, looking visibly upset as her white shirt and slacks were ruined.

The Friends star appeared to be shooting a scene where her character, Alex Levy, is targeted by protesters who throw oil at her.

This peculiar scene comes as The Morning Show recently received multiple Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for both Aniston and her co-star, Reese Witherspoon, 48.

The Morning Show explores the behind-the-scenes dynamics of a fictional morning news program, following the rivalry between anchors Alex and Bradley (Witherspoon). The series often addresses current issues such as the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Aniston expressed her gratitude for the show’s success on social media, writing, “Happy Sweet 16 indeed! I’m so honored and so proud of our show and all of our wildly talented actors, directors and crew! #grateful,” celebrating the 16 Emmy nominations the show received.

In a separate incident, Aniston criticized Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance for his past comments about Vice President Kamala Harris. Vance’s remarks from a 2021 interview, where he referred to Harris and others as “people without children,” recently resurfaced. According to Deadline, Vance claimed the US was being run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable with their own lives and choices, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”

Aniston responded strongly on Instagram, writing, “All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.”

This reaction came after former President Donald Trump announced Vance as his running mate during the Republican National Convention. Last week, President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race and nominated Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for the upcoming election.
