India clinched a dramatic seven-run victory over South Africa in Barbados, marking their first global tournament win since the 2013 Champions Trophy.
World Cup-winning captain Rohit described the victory as a “dream come true” for India, ending over a decade of anticipation since their previous World Cup triumph in the 50-over format in 2011.
“The team and I are very proud to be able to bring the cup home and are truly touched by how much happiness it has brought everyone back home,” Rohit said.
