‘The Fate of Ophelia’: Taylor Swift’s Most Cinematic and Record-Breaking Music Video Yet

Taylor Swift’s new song “The Fate of Ophelia” reimagines Shakespeare’s tragic heroine with a twist, debuting as part of her album “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, is already making waves. The music video of the first track of her album, The Fate of Ophelia, will be officially launched on YouTube on October 5. The track alludes to Ophelia, the protagonist of Hamlet. But Taylor Swift has a twist in her tale in the music video, according to Today.

Where to and how to see Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia?

Swifties will be able to see The Fate of Ophelia in cinemas as part of The Official Release Party of a Showgirl. Taylor Swift made the theatrical release of her album public on September 19 through her Instagram.

Her caption stated, “I hereby invite you to a dazzling soiree, The Official Release Party Of A Showgirl: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in Cinemas!” You’ll get to see the special world debut of the music video for my new single “The Fate Of Ophelia,” as well as never previously released behind-the-scenes shots of how we created it, cut-by-cut commentary on what inspired this music, and the newly released lyric videos from my new album, The Life Of A Showgirl.

If the fans are not going to the movie theaters to see the video launch of Swift’s song, then they can view it on YouTube. The music video will be available at 7 pm ET on the streaming service.

The Fate of Ophelia began making history even before its music video release. Spotify posted on Instagram that Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia broke the record as the most-streamed song on one single day in the history of the company.
