In an earlier incident this year, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a perpetrator who entered his Bandra home through his youngest son Jeh's room early on January 16. Saif was stabbed six times trying to ward off the accused; two of these stabs were reported to be severe, as they were near his spine. Now, Saif has come out and said that even Jeh was pricked by the perpetrator's knife.
Appearing on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol's Two Much, Saif Ali Khan remembered, "Kareena had gone out, and I had just finished the movie with the boys (Taimur and Jeh). So we slept rather late, until about two in the morning. Then after Kareena came back, we had a wee little chat before bed." Then the maid entered, and she said, 'Jeh baba ke kamre mein koi hai. Uske haath mein chaaku hai aur bol rahe hai usko paisa chahiye (There's someone in Jeh's room. He has a knife in his hand, and he says he wants money.
He went on, "I sort of heard that and rolled out of bed. I burst into Jeh's room in the dark, and I noticed this fellow standing over his bed with a knife." On asking Akshay Kumar whether the intruder was holding his knife to Jeh, Saif disclosed that because the man was moving about too much, both Jeh and his nanny had cut marks.
Saif remembered, "I thought he was shorter than me, meaning he's not very tall. And I jumped on him. Jeh afterwards told me, 'It was a huge error. You should have punched or kicked him instead.' But I jumped, and we began this fight. He went crazy. He had two knives, and he started slashing all over me."

Saif supplemented, "I made an effort to recall my training and blocked a couple of them. But then I received a thump at the back that was quite tough. By then, all the people were out of the rooms. Gita, who is our domestic help, came to my assistance in this fight and shoved the guy away from me. She saved my life there because he had slashed me all over. Then we locked him in a room."
Saif Ali Khan underwent severe surgery because some stabs were near his spine. He was taken to the Lilawati Hospital, where a 2.5-inch part of the blade was extracted from his spine after a five-hour-long operation. As reported, Khan received a deep cut on the right side of his neck, a cut on his right shoulder, and a deep stab on the left side of his back. He also received a minor abrasion on his left elbow.
