Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh is once again in the limelight as he's "in the house of rise and fall," trending on the media for the stormy controversies that have shadowed his personal and professional life. From his sizzling romance with actress Akshara Singh, his controversial marriage to Jyoti Singh, to his public defamation of co-star Anjali Raghav, the singer-actor's life is marred with accusations of disrespect, domination, and scandal.
In her explosive podcast interview, Akshara Singh confessed to loving Pawan Singh so much that she used to visit him each day and blind-folded trusted him. But revealed being emotionally blackmailed, being forced to perform rituals like touching his feet, or else be subjected to anger from him.
She also revealed how she was "put under house arrest" when Pawan married another woman while he was still dating her. The betrayal, she said, left her emotionally shattered and wondering about his respect for women.
Pawan Singh's wife, Jyoti Singh, also expressed herself in interviews and in a poignant letter about her suffering. She held him responsible for neglect, saying that he ignored her calls, messages, and even efforts from his own family to call him.
Her letter describes the pathetic scene:
"आदरणीय पत्ति श्री पवन सिंह जी मैं आज कई महीनों से आप से कुछ पारिवारिक और राजनीतिक मुद्दों पर बात करने के लिए कोशिश करती आ रही हूँ लेकिन आप ने या आपके साथ रहने वाले लोगो ने मेरे कॉल मैसेज का रिप्लाई देना शायद उचित नही समझा…”
She charged mental harassment, miscarriage due to being forced to take medicine, and taunting by his relatives. Her words sound like a wife desperate: "सात साल से मै संघर्ष कर रही हु अब मुझे अपने ही जीवन से नफरत होते जा रहा है।"
The gaffes didn't end with Akshara or Jyoti. At a public event in Lucknow, a viral video caught Pawan Singh touching actress Anjali Raghav's waist at a song launch. The gesture infuriated everybody, with Anjali quitting the Bhojpuri industry soon after, alleging to have been "humiliated."
Jyoti reacted strongly even then, demanding respect and questioning why her husband constantly disrespects women on public platforms.
Between Akshara’s allegations of control, Jyoti’s claims of emotional abuse, and Anjali’s public humiliation, a clear pattern seems to emerge: accusations that Pawan Singh doesn’t treat women with the dignity they deserve.
While Pawan Singh has apologized for some incidents, like the Anjali Raghav controversy critics say his responses remain indecent and fail to address the depth of the accusations.
