Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday, October 8, after being on a ventilator for 11 days. He had met with a serious road accident in Himachal Pradesh on September 27.
The accident happened near Baddi in Solan district when he was on his way to Shimla. Rajvir lost control of his motorcycle, and the crash left him with severe head and spinal injuries. He was taken to a hospital in Mohali, Punjab, where he remained on life support.
Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Rajvir could not survive. The 34-year-old singer, who was married and had two young children, passed away, leaving his fans heartbroken.
His sudden death has shocked the entire Punjabi music industry. Many singers, actors, and fans shared emotional posts on social media, remembering him for his humility, charm, and soulful songs.

Rajvir belonged to a Sikh family from Jagraon, Punjab. His father worked as a government employee, and his mother was a homemaker. He was very close to his parents and often said they were his biggest support system throughout his career.
Rajvir Jawanda was born on July 26, 1990, in Village Pona, Jagraon, Ludhiana (Punjab). He studied at Sanmati Vimal Jain School and completed his graduation from DAV College, Jagraon.
He was passionate about music since childhood and learned classical singing from Ustaad Lalli Khan Saab. Before becoming a singer, Rajvir also worked as a Punjab Police officer for a short time.
Rajvir started his singing career with the song “Khedan De Din”. He became famous with hits like “Mera Dil,” “Patiala Shahi Pagg,” “Chandigarh,” and “Kangani.” His traditional singing style and powerful voice made him a household name in Punjabi music.
He later entered films and acted in “Subedar Joginder Singh” and “Jinde Meriye.” Fans loved his natural acting and screen presence.
