Pawan Kalyan Visits Allu Arjun’s Residence to Pay Respects After Allu Kanakaratnam Passing

Andhra Pradesh's Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan visited Allu Arjun’s home to console the family after the death of his grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam, as the family mourned her loss.

The Allu family mourns the death of Allu Kanakaratnam, mother of experienced producer Allu Aravind and grandmother of actor Allu Arjun. She died in Hyderabad on Saturday at the age of 94 due to age-related issues.

As the family was in mourning, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan went to their residence to personally express his condolences.

Pawan Kalyan’s Visit to Allu Arjun’s House

One widely shared online widely is a video of Pawan Kalyan, wearing a white kurta-pyjama, arriving at the house of Allu Arjun. In the video, he is seen hugging an emotional Allu Arjun before being taken to the photo of the late Kanakaratnam, where he paid his respects.

The Deputy CM was then spotted receiving Allu Aravind, giving him a warm hug, and sitting with the family and talking. While Pawan Kalyan himself could not be there at the funeral procession in Hyderabad owing to a pre-scheduled meeting in Vizag, his wife was there to pay her last respects and be there for the family at this moment of distress.

Family Members Conduct Last Rites

The Allu family members attended the funeral. The actor’s close relatives, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Chiranjeevi, along with other relatives, acted as pallbearers during the procession. The ceremony included a touching moment where Allu Arjun’s son, Allu Ayaan, began to sob, following which the actor embraced him with a firm hug.

Who Was Allu Kanakaratnam?

Allu Kanakaratnam was the late Allu Ramalingaiah’s wife, a legendary artist and Padma Shri awardee who played over 1,000 Telugu films. She was well known in the profession and among relatives for upholding the principles throughout her lengthy existence.

Upon receiving the news of her passing, Allu Arjun, who had been shooting in Mumbai, rushed back to Hyderabad. Actor Ram Charan also paused filming for his project Peddi in Mysore to be by the family’s side.

Chiranjeevi’s Emotional Tribute

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is married to Surekha — Kanakaratnam’s daughter — shared an emotional note on social media, confirming the news of her passing.

“Our mother-in-law… The passing away of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is very sorrowful. The love, courage, and life philosophies she exhibited to our families will always be a source of inspiration to us. I pray God that her holy soul reaches peace. Om Shanti,” he wrote.

In a press interaction, Chiranjeevi related that the family has honoured her last wish by donating her eyes, so that she lives on in the memory of compassion.
