Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s film Param Sundari finally hit theatres today, August 29. The movie has been in buzz ever since it was announced, especially after the release of its melodious songs. Produced by Maddock Films, it brings Sidharth and Janhvi together on screen for the first time. The makers have also announced that the movie will stream on Prime Video in October 2025, once it finishes its theatrical run. Set in Kerala, the rom-com promises romance, humor, cultural clashes and soulful music, making it one of the most awaited Hindi releases this year.
Originally, the film was supposed to release on July 25, 2025. However, the makers pushed the date to August 29 to avoid a crowded release window. After running in theatres, Param Sundari will arrive on Prime Video in October 2025. The eight-week gap gives the film enough time to perform well at the box office before it comes to streaming.

The film is set in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala while Sidharth plays Param Sachdev, a free-spirited young man from Delhi. Janhvi plays Thekkepattu Sundari Damodaram Pillai, a disciplined and determined woman from Kerala. Their love story grows out of completely opposite worlds, creating moments of cultural tension, emotional pushback, and unexpected humor and at its heart, the film explores how love can bridge differences while also testing deep-rooted beliefs and expectations.
Music plays an important role in Param Sundari. Sachin–Jigar have composed the soundtrack, while Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the lyrics. Their team-up has already given fans soulful songs that have topped charts. The music adds emotional weight to the story and has built strong excitement for the film.

The screenplay is written by Gaurav Mishra, Aarsh Vora, and Tushar Jalota and their writing mixes sincerity with comedy to keep the film light yet heartfelt. Maddock Films, led by Dinesh Vijan, continues to bring refreshing stories to the big screen, and Param Sundari is another attempt to deliver a rom-com that feels different from the usual formula.
