Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after nearly two decades of marriage, according to a source who spoke to the BBC. The couple, both prominent figures in the entertainment industry, married in June 2006 and share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Representatives for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have not made any public statements regarding the separation.
The couple, whose roots lie in Australia, have had their fair share of highs and lows together throughout their marriage. Kidman and Urban frequently appeared at award ceremonies and Hollywood premieres together throughout the years, showing a strong public relationship.
Their relationship was also on shaky ground, especially in the beginning. Months into their marriage, Urban admitted himself to a rehabilitation facility for alcohol and drug addiction. Kidman, along with Urban's friends, organized an intervention that Urban called life-changing. Looking back at this tumultuous time, Urban told The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2010, "Everything was just designed, I believe, for that moment to fuse us together."
Urban previously talked about how Kidman had a positive influence on his life. He explained, "I look back now and realize Nic has taught me so much and brought so much into my life and opened my eyes in so many ways," and added, "[This is] the best place I've ever been."

The couple was photographed together as recently as June, when they visited a FIFA Club World Cup game in Nashville, Tennessee. They were also out in public in May when Urban got the ACM Triple Crown Award, where they were spotted together holding hands and looking close. Kidman had been married to Tom Cruise for over a decade, with whom she has two other children. Her marriage to Cruise dissolved in 2001.
