Actor Ishita Dutta has been hospitalized along with her two-year-old son Vaayu, just two months after giving birth to her daughter Veda. The Drishyam actor shared her health update through an emotional Instagram post, stating that both she and her toddler were on the mend. She also revealed that her recent weight loss was a result of being unwell and not a deliberate transformation.
A difficult month for Ishita
Ishita took to Instagram on Wednesday and posted a photo from the hospital. The image showed both her and her son receiving IV fluids. While she chose not to reveal their faces, her caption said it all.
“It’s been a really tough month… At a time when I was supposed to be with my newborn, I was making hospital rounds instead,” Ishita wrote. “Thankfully, both Vaayu and I are doing much better now.”
She added, “A lot of you have been asking me about my weight loss—it wasn’t deliberate, just a result of being unwell.”
Husband Vatsal Sheth remains quiet
Her husband and fellow actor Vatsal Sheth have not commented publicly on the situation. Known for his low-key social media presence during personal crises, Vatsal has stayed focused on family.
The couple had welcomed their second child, a daughter named Veda, in June this year. Their first child, son Vaayu, was born in July 2023.

Growing family and love story
Ishita and Vatsal had announced the birth of their daughter with a heartwarming post featuring all four of them in the hospital. Ishita captioned it, “From two to four hearts beating as one. Our family is now complete. Blessed with a baby girl.”
Later, they revealed their daughter’s name—Veda—through a video from her traditional naming ceremony. The sweet clip featured balloons with her name and close family gathered around.
Ishita, 34, and Vatsal, 44, met on the sets of Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar and tied the knot on November 28, 2017, in Mumbai.
Recovery first
Though she is still recovering, Ishita has shown strength and gratitude while navigating this difficult phase. Her fans have sent warm wishes and prayers for her and little Vaayu’s complete recovery.
