Hina Khan Calls Out Casting Bias After Cancer Diagnosis, Vows to Keep Working

Hina Khan opens up about battling cancer and the casting bias she faces, stressing her will to work and defy stereotypes in the entertainment industry.

Recently, Hina Khan disclosed the fact that although she is eager to work, she has backtracked from the industry. Turning down her offers even when she was coming back into health and strength, many have hesitated to cast her more for the unsignifying stigma associated with being a cancer survivor and particularly in industries dealing with its image. Finding Strength in Routine and Work. Rather than allowing her career to retreat, Hina stepped into it even harder to restore some feel of normalcy.

The actor claimed that after being unwell and having to decline numerous offers, her career took a backseat. “Pati Patni Aur Panga” marks her return to the small screen.

For her, there was fun and purpose to it, being really into script readings and wardrobe predicaments and planning for her next projects during the recuperation days. This made her quite really say, “Working brings me joy and strength,” mentioning how the whole routine takes her mind off her illness and lifts her spirit.
